What does the Armed Forces soliciting children have to to with academic achievements?
I do not know.
The NCLB became law in January 2002. That was just about 3 months after the September 11th attacks.
Good timing for military recruiters. They could make quotas easily on the huge wave of nationalism that ensued after September 11th.
Just a reminder.
This is a very small rural school where the average grade has about 35 students, per GRADE.
The school does take 11th graders to some colleges on bus trips. They do not take all the grades that can be recruited by the Armed Forces on these college ventures.
Sometimes the military recruiters are no-shows. Does not matter to me. The school still allows them this often.
Where is the equal in this?
And yet, the school administration and the school board are good with this.
I just don't get it.
